Morning all, well here is my first layout from this month's Counterfeit Kit.
I started with a pretty base paper, added blocks of colour, some washi tape, one of those frames I made, some hand stitching and a sticker.
Photo of said 14 year old stood on the stepping stones at Harewood!
Happy Scrapping everyone!

CKCB - AND FOR MY FIRST TRICK
Good morning, well it's Monday already, can't believe how quickly the weekend's disappear or is it just me.
When I put the kit together this month, I realised I'd done my usual which was to grab all the papers I had that met the criteria; the issue with this is that this means my kits are always huge. Therefore I decided that my first task was to make a big dent in the stash by creating a mini book. I got a mini kit recently from Jen at Wear Crafts and I loved the instructions and you know what it's like when you first make a mini book, the instructions are fresh in your mind so it's easy to recreate further mini books so I decided to create (and fill) a mini book.
I decorated the front of the book using one of the frames I created, the book documents a day trip out to Nostell Priory.
I will share some layouts with you in the next few days, but I had a ball creating the mini book!

COUNTERFEIT KIT - OOH IT'S BEEN A WHILE
Good morning lovely people, well it has definitely been a while since I joined in with a counterfeit kit, some of the kits didn't speak to me so I opted out as it were, other month's just raced passed. But this month with the arrival of over 400 photos - I was determined to get plenty scrapbooked and the counterfeit kit is always an amazing way to get lots of layouts done. So without further ado this is my kit for the month
So as always I start with the papers, I just kept adding to the pile out of my stash!
Then I found lots of embellishment items to add to the kit
Hit the scraps box 'just in case'
And then used the link on the counterfeit blog for the frames before adding sentiments inside and printing off!
So I'm all set for this month!

THE LAST OF THE COUNTERFEIT LAYOUTS 31 32 33 34 AND SOME
Good morning lovely people the last of my counterfeit kit this morning. First up a double page, monochromatic layout using my wavy board again!
Up close the left hand page
and right hand page documenting one of those 'I'm going to win' moments at a penny slot arcade in Bridlington, with my niece and sister - needless to say we walked away empty handed!
As most of you know from the blog hop yesterday I cut the middle out of a hexagon paper, but rather than use it 'in tact' I split the elements up and used them across a page. I rounded the corners of the photo, photo mat and other elements, added a stamped title and some strips of washi tape!
Last year I printed off a Simple Stories sheet from UK Scrappers which documented a layout similar to the one below, using little 'cards' made from scraps measuring 3.75" x 2.75" so I thought it would be fun to do the same with the balance of the items I had in my kit
With a few I had left over I also managed to throw a card together
And because I was in the mood to throw a few cards together I managed to create these, I've never professed to be particularly good at cards, but I enjoyed making these!
And there you go, another kit used to the fullest and complete. I might take a month off in April as my scrapping is getting a little 'out of hand' if I'm brutally honest at the moment, although I might play with some more cards as they don't require an abundance of photos!

COUNTERFEIT KIT 23 24 25 AND 26
Morning all another 4 layouts from my kit this morning for you to have a look at. First up an embroidered bird I saw at Yorkshire Sculpture Park done by Emily Sutton, so cute! I added circles and wooden elements to the page
Next up a photo from Center Parcs, I used a blend of the happy balloon paper with yellow and matted up elements on the page. Photo of niece and hubby playing badminton!
Then those wavy boards getting used again to create this one, I was pleased with the blend of floral papers given that they were two very different manufacturers! Photo is of our visit to Eyam Hall!
Finally a couple of layered photos from a visit to a local dam, I loved all the ice gathered on the clope down and the birds stood on the ice. I cut the elements out of another sheet and then layered up to create this layout!
Hope you are having a happy scrapping day

COUNTERFEIT KIT 15 16 17 AND 18
Good morning lovely people, Sunday morning already which means work tomorrow boo hiss, however, am hoping to make the most of today! Next four layouts from my counterfeit kit
I had a sheet of paper within the kit that looked like coloured distressed floorboards, rather than leave the paper whole I cut into strips and created the flag element on the left hand side of this page.
Then the photo, title and a bit of hand journalling. We had actually turned our backs on hubby because he was refusing to talk to us because we'd been ribbing him. So we said we weren't moving until he started talking again, we were all giggling and laughing about it by the time we'd done! As it happened he got this shot which shows you just how awesome this sculpture at Yorkshire Sculpture Park is!
.jpg)
Next up blue cardstock base, the other bit of that floorboard paper some washi tape, photos hand journalling with my amazing white pen and a sticker to add to the mix. We were on Flamborough Head beach on a very cold February morning - it's one of my favourite places on the Yorkshire Coastline!
Next up I went all geometric on this one, again really simple 3 squares of paper onto a bright background to make those photos pop. Photos taken at NT Eyam Hall and show the 'graffiti' on the windows, done a long time ago and amazing to see!
And finally this family selfie taken by hubby of me, him and said 14 year old as we wandered around the outside of Eyam Hall. I actually used a patchwork design on this layout that I'd seen online to create the background - in all honesty I don't think it works as well as when it's created in fabric - but hey it's done now!
And that my lovely people is your lot for this Sunday morning hope you are having a very happy scrapping day!

COUNTERFEIT KIT - 12 13 AND 14
Morning all well time to share the next lot of layouts from this month's kit.
The first layout works with the yellows and oranges in the kit which I thought were a great combination with the pinks in the photo. Using some bright geometric circles a little bit of handstitching and the title using up some stickers I've had a while. The photo itself is a completely unexpected surprise parcel from the very lovely Lesley. She was aware I was having a rough time before Christmas and parcelled up a happy book, a snowman bar of chocolate and a little bottle of red - I cried when I opened it - such a thoughtful gift from a beautiful and amazing person!
Next up the frozen dam at Worsbrough, on a blue sky day in January what you really need is some fresh air. The combination of oranges and blues and yellows I felt really complemented the photo. The design of this layout came from the monthly sketch on UK Scrappers! I love a great sketch!
Finally a layout that makes me giggle. Using up strips of paper, additions of washi tape and a few hole punched hearts and that photo! This was my first (and I might add last) attempt at a slimming world brownie, they smelt like brownies they didn't however quite hit the spot with said 14 year old - as you can see from that look on his face!
Hope you have been having fun with your kit this month!

CKCB LAYOUTS 9 10 and 11
Morning all it's a gorgeous morning here in Yorkshire - blue skies the works.
So the next three layouts to share with this morning and yes after I took the photo I noted I'd missed the stitching on the bottom left of this - you'll be pleased to know I have resolved that.
I loved this perfectly frosty leaf on the floor at Center Parcs it reminds me of that lovely walk and that cool crisp morning when me and hubby were wandering around the park before it woke up - bliss!
This is one of those 'almost done' papers you know the ones. So I just added some diamonds and chipboard shapes, the photo and Eternity title and some hand stitching to create the layout. View over the Dales on a trip out!
And finally this morning a perspective shot - it makes said 14 year old look huge - well he has certainly outstripped both me and hubby - but not to this degree LOL! I used my wavy boards that I got at Christmas as part of a Secret Santa swap from Karen, used a chalkboard sticker and a little bit of heart stitching - which is mighty subtle and journalled using - that fabulous white pen!
Hope you have a happy scrapping day.

CKCB - LAYOUTS 4 AND 5
Afternoon all, well for those of you who've been reading my blog over the last few days I can confirm that hubby is finally home, he's a long way off being better but just having him home is a positive if I'm honest!
Anyhow, these are the next couple of layouts created using my kit, I've put it through it's paces this month and have made the most of the bright day here to photograph the second batch that I've created. I think I'm officially on the dregs - so might consider an alternative approach to the same - cards are coming to mind at the moment. Anyway I digress
So without further ado the first one, documenting a walk we had when looking for some geo-caches - hence the title! I added a little bit of hand stitching and some sticker bunting I've had for an age!
Next up photos of two fabulous illustrations by Emily Sutton at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I created a wavy frame with blue cardstock and added a couple of wooden butterfly buttons. However, the bit I was happiest with was using the white pen that I got as part of a Secret Santa for Christmas from Karen, I've always struggled to find a decent white pen if I'm honest but this one is fantastic!
Hope you are having a happy scrapping day!

Well another fab kit that I've enjoyed working with this month, I find I almost exhaust supplies from my kit before any of the challenges appear, thus making the challenges even more challenging if you know what I mean.
So first up Challenge #1 Invisibles and Clear Cuts
Now I've got ample piles of vellums and such like but always have an issue when it comes to attaching them, so this time I decided to use a vellum envelope, I had on my desk which was full of orange sequins, I attached on the left with staples and used two metal brads on the right! Photo taken very early one morning on our walk around Center Parcs after New Year!
Then Challenge #2 - Use a date Stamp in an Interesting Way
So I matted the photo onto a data stamped piece of white cardstock - the 'selfie' was taken on a trip to the theatre when we'd stopped for a drink. We had gone to watch Stomp live, which is fabulous I might add! Said 14 year old rolled his eyes at us which is always funny these days, mainly because my phone doesn't have a forward facing camera so it always makes for a fun activity!
And finally Challenge # 3- Create an unexpected Title
I decided to go for a long title, technically with a question posed to us by these two Victorian Pick pockets, who asked us "Do you Fancy a Real Life Victorian Experience?" and when we frowned, they said they'd be quite willing to pick our pockets for us! Thank you for this great challenge because I didn't know how I'd manage to capture this humorous moment if I'm honest!
So how have I done with all the lovely layouts I've done from my kit this month, you may recall that I started with 51 sheets of paper at the beginning of the month I think the total is 29 layouts - so not bad, not bad at all! So that leaves me to say roll on the 1st March - hope the kit proves just as much fun!

CKCB LAYOUTS 18 19 AND 20
Good morning well we've woken to windy weather, grey clouds and rain this morning in Yorkshire, so I'll be heading to my craft table very soon.
First up it never ceases to amaze me, how blending colours from a photo into a layout make it so much more pleasing on the eye.
I was skeptical as to whether I'd manage to use this cloud paper out of the kit - but no trouble whatsoever! The photo was taken of the cascade fountain at Chatsworth last year!
Next up a photo taken at the end of the day when we visited Kelham Island for their Christmas Fayre, we took my sister and my niece for the first time and we had a grand day.
And this one has a photo inspired by my sister, as part of the Chatsworth at Christmas, she realised that a photo of the back of the white rabbit might make for a fun photo! So we had to steal the idea and low and behold it did make for a fun picture!
Fairly simple layout with a few enamel dots on to bring together!
Hope you are having a Happy Scrapping Day!

CKCB - 15 16 AND 17
Morning all, well I've been up since the crack of dawn (or so it feels) and had a physio appointment which was a tad pointless - referral on to podiatry to see if they can get this foot pain free - we shall see.
So I thought I'd share another three layouts that I created with my counterfeit kit this month, the first up is the Mad Hare from Alice in Wonderland, this was by far my favourite when we wandered around Chatsworth last Christmas. He had such an amazing expression and I loved all the detail. It was also lovely to see them recycle the Snow Queen's throne from the previous year which is what the hare sat on! A simple layout but I took my lead from the colours in the photos!
Then you can't tell but the border of this one has shiny gold elements to it, kept it quite simple adding a few elements such as the hand stitched kisses along the top.
And finally the dressing up corner at Chatsworth - as you can see everyone wanted to be the Mad Hatter!
Hope you have a happy scrapping day!

COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUTS 10 AND 11
Morning all, I can't tell you how giddy I am to be up at 7.55am on Monday morning! Why? Because this week there is no work, so I'm still in my PJ's and I've got a cuppa and blogger to keep me happy - utter bliss!
First up the giant crawling half human/half hare rabbit at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, it always looks so different depending on the time of year, in Autumn (when we took this photo) she's still creeping in amongst the foliage, we visited her recently and as the trees around are all bare she's fully visible!
Then another photo from Chatsworth at Christmas which was in the theme of Alice in Wonderland, these were two of the hedgehogs embroiled in the croquet game with the Queen of Hearts, I adore the bottom picture where the hedgehog has his eyes closed!
