SATURDAY - COUNTERFEITKIT LAYOUT 4

Morning all, on our day trip to Harry Potter World we had a beautiful blue sky day to enjoy when we got to the outside part.  We loved the fact that they only created a very small part of the bridge and that we got to walk across it!

The colours on this layout (layout 4) are linked with the Counterfeit Kit that was released this month, I've had great fun using my kit up!

SWEET - COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUT 3

After a lengthy hiatus away from scrapping, I found myself with time on my hands last Friday and set too with a stack of photos, I very quickly ground to a halt and realised that my normal method of generating layouts simply wasn't going to work.  So I had to try a new tact, so I abandoned the pile of photos and basically found some sketches on Pinterest and created, without any thought of which photos I was scrapping for, by the end of the day I had 10 layouts ready minus title, journal and photos and then the fun task of trying to find photos to fit the what now seemed to be tiny photo mats (I usually have my photos printed almost 5"x7"), however it didn't take long to cut and streamline the photos and getting more than one photo on the layout allowed for me to make better use of the ample photos I've had printed!

So next time you get stuck scrapping - try a different tact!

Now this is another sketch that I would like to thank the original producer and I was sure I'd pinned it to my board, but I now can't for the life of me find the pin - must make notes on the back next time!

If you know the sketch in question shout out and I'll update my post to give due thanks where it is needed!

SO AWESOME - COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUT 2

Good Morning, another layout this morning, this time more of the dark arts from Harry Potter.

The vanishing cabinet on the left, took over 12 months to build and the lock mechanism worked (not sure about the vanishing element mind you).

Still documenting a single day - anybody else done this many layouts on one day?

This is the second layout I made using my counterfeit kit http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

COLLECT MOMENTS. NOT THINGS - COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUT 1

Our day trip to Harry Potter World was by far my favourite day last year (and probably of the last few years), 10 hours spent wandering through the amazing sets, props, designs, costumes etc.  Simply magical!

And I'm documenting the day - trying to fight my way through 700 photos (I kid you not), I am now growing increasingly selective as I can see a mini (insert the word maxi) book destined to be created as I've soooooooooooo many photos left over!

This photo the quidditch set!

I finally also managed to put together a Counterfeit Kit (http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/) - having had many months away from the blog, I've been tempted occasionally but never quite got around to managing it, so this month I actually got around to putting my kit together, unfortunately I forgot to photograph the original kit, but I have managed a good few layouts from it this month already!

Happy scrapping

COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUTS 19 THE FINAL ONE

And the final layout for this month, this is one of my favourite layouts, using a technique I saw on UK Scrappers last year, making little tiny cards and creating a layout.  the photo is the three of us once again at Chatsworth perfecting the family selfie!

Roll on tomorrow for many reasons including a new counterfeit kit!

Counterfeit kit layouts 15 and 16

Officially running out of days to share these, two more layouts from me.

Using a sketch which I now can't find to share the source as it were.  It was nice being able to use some of the background paper though, I've had it a while.

Photo of said 15 year old getting a little too comfortable checking out motor bikes for my liking!

And then this layout, I was surprised that I managed to use that background paper at all as it's so busy, it has the word 'amazing' in the middle of it, which I decided to use as a title.

The photo is the arrowed heart created by the Red Arrows.

COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUTS 13 AND 14

Good morning, I'm running out of October to share these at the moment!

First up a layout using a wide photo I had printed.  The photo is of Conway from the top of one of the towers on Conway Castle, I've just noticed that I really shouldn't have added the A to this layout as Conway is actually spelt Conwy - but it's done now.  However, I will hunt it down and alter it accordingly in due course.

Border punches and embroidery!

Photo taken using my phone, another Chatsworth Sculpture at their Beyond Limits Exhibition.  The rust was really vivid with the evening sunset (hence the title).  A little addition of embroidery and it was done.

COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUTS 11 AND 12

Well I'm being very slow at sharing these layouts, at this rate we'll be on to the next month and I won't have shown all the ones I made.

This one is using a sketch challenge from http://miniowner.blogspot.co.uk/ it was a fab challenge and I loved playing with my hexagon dies to create the layout.  Photo taken at Chatsworth of said 15 year old in one of the coin chairs.

I quite like the next layout although it's not my normal 'style' if I'm honest.  The sculpture is part of the Beyond Limits sculptures at Chatsworth which I think finish shortly (or may have already finished).  I loved the shot through the sculpture, one of me and the other of the house.

The title was a homemade embellishment that I received in a Secret Santa a year or two ago and I love it, I knew I'd find the perfect layout to pop it on one day.

COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUTS 9 AND 10 - MEMORIES CAPTURED AND FUN

Morning lovely people on with the counterfeit kit this morning.

I really liked the composition on this one, I love a decent border on a layout and the mix of relatively traditional style prints together really seemed to work.

I've bought myself a leaf punch recently so it seemed a prime layout to us it.  The photo is of a sculpture that we saw at Chatsworth this year.  It is a Bonsai that would appear to have been sprayed gold.  I quite liked it but I think I prefer the living kind if you know what I mean.

And then one of me and said 15 year old heading up to the sensory garden.  We were just wandering along, when we stopped suddenly because we realised hubby was photo taking - we did ask him for a bit of notice next time!

I've still got more layouts from my kit to share, happy Thursday everyone!

Counterfeit kit layouts 7 and 8 - We Were Two and had but one heart... and Charming

Carrying on with my counterfeit kit, first up a layout using phone photos from Chatsworth, we had a lovely evening exploring the gardens in that beautiful light that you get early evening.  Even managed a selfie!

Next up my amazing 15 year old - looking far too old for my liking.  Again taken when we were exploring Chatsworth's gardens.

COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUTS 3 AND 4 - SMILE AND PURE HAPPINESS

So my next two layouts on the Counterfeit Kit this month, first up this one of me and said 15 year old taken sat on the Grand Cascade at Chatsworth (as it was dry).  I enjoyed playing with the heavy mix of flowered papers in my kit, something that I don't often get to play with.

Adding a little washi tape, some stitching and some raised foam hearts it was job done.

On this second layout I used the 'offcut' from the hexagon die cut, on top of a plain piece of cardstock.  I rounded the corners on my photo and matted onto grey paper.

The photo was taken by said 15 year old from a high view point looking down at me and his Dad as we wandered around the Beyond Limits sculptures.

I'll be sharing more layouts over coming days - hope you have a Happy Monday everyone!

COUNTERFEIT KIT LAYOUTS 1 AND 2 - MALFOY AND THEATRE

Well it has been a while since I've joined in with creating a kit but with over 700 photos arriving recently it seemed a great way to get the mojo running.

First up the first (of what will be many) photos from our visit to Harry Potter World in London earlier in the year, documenting the scene inside Malfoy Manor.

Next up I have a shaped piece of paper that I often use as a stencil it always starts a layout off well. I added other paper elements some hand stitching and punched hearts raised on foam dots.

The photo was taken when attending the theatre recently we had a great afternoon and I managed to capture it with a great photo opportunity, neither hubby nor said 15 year old were aware of the giant poster behind them!

So I'm off with the first two layouts from my kit!

CKCB - LAYOUTS 2, 3, 4 AND 5

Hello lovely people, hope your days are filled with fun and not too much work, I'm off to mine in a minute but thought I'd have a go at starting to empty the blog folder again so I can get the scrapbooking bug and make a million and one new layouts these are all from this month's counterfeit kit

First up a view at Center Parcs earlier in the year,

Then a 'selfie' taken at Harewood, isn't it great when you fathom out how the self timer works!

Then the small version inside Harewood of the large statue outside Harewood, love this photo! I added some stencilling and stitching to this one.

And finally said 14 year old finding a nice place to sit and enjoy a tray of chips!  I quite enjoyed using the flowers on this haven't flowers to a layout in forever!

Hope you are having fun with your kit this month!   Tatty bye for now

THE LAST OF THE COUNTERFEIT LAYOUTS 31 32 33 34 AND SOME

Good morning lovely people the last of my counterfeit kit this morning. First up a double page, monochromatic layout using my wavy board again!

Up close the left hand page

and right hand page documenting one of those 'I'm going to win' moments at a penny slot arcade in Bridlington, with my niece and sister - needless to say we walked away empty handed!

As most of you know from the blog hop yesterday I cut the middle out of a hexagon paper, but rather than use it 'in tact' I split the elements up and used them across a page. I rounded the corners of the photo, photo mat and other elements, added a stamped title and some strips of washi tape!

Last year I printed off a Simple Stories sheet from UK Scrappers which documented a layout similar to the one below, using little 'cards' made from scraps measuring 3.75" x 2.75" so I thought it would be fun to do the same with the balance of the items I had in my kit

With a few I had left over I also managed to throw a card together

And because I was in the mood to throw a few cards together I managed to create these, I've never professed to be particularly good at cards, but I enjoyed making these!

And there you go, another kit used to the fullest and complete.  I might take a month off in April as my scrapping is getting a little 'out of hand' if I'm brutally honest at the moment, although I might play with some more cards as they don't require an abundance of photos!

MORE COUNTERFEITING 27 28 AND 29

Morning all well I'm sharing yet more layouts from my kit this morning - yes it is the never ending kit

First up using washi tape, torn paper a  little bit of fabric trim etc, I managed to document this I personally preferred the moose by a long shot! Photo taken at Eyam Hall

Next up my crazy hubby posing for a picture and looking an aweful lot like dali in this one tee hee!  Lots of greys and yellows, added buttons and stickers and a bit of stamping!

Next up a blend of similar papers with different colours schemes, a splash of orange and some more stamping and little hearts.  Photo taken at Yorkshire Sculpture Park

And yes before you ask the cupboard is almost bare now!

COUNTERFEIT KIT 23 24 25 AND 26

Morning all another 4 layouts from my kit this morning for you to have a look at.  First up an embroidered bird I saw at Yorkshire Sculpture Park done by Emily Sutton, so cute!  I added circles and wooden elements to the page

Next up a photo from Center Parcs, I used a blend of the happy balloon paper with yellow and matted up elements on the page.  Photo of niece and hubby playing badminton!

Then those wavy boards getting used again to create this one, I was pleased with the blend of floral papers given that they were two very different manufacturers! Photo is of our visit to Eyam Hall!

Finally a couple of layered photos from a visit to a local dam, I loved all the ice gathered on the clope down and the birds stood on the ice.  I cut the elements out of another sheet and then layered up to create this layout!

Hope you are having a happy scrapping day

COUNTERFEIT KIT 15 16 17 AND 18

Good morning lovely people, Sunday morning already which means work tomorrow boo hiss, however, am hoping to make the most of today!  Next four layouts from my counterfeit kit

I had a sheet of paper within the kit that looked like coloured distressed floorboards, rather than leave the paper whole I cut into strips and created the flag element on the left hand side of this page.

Then the photo, title and a bit of hand journalling.  We had actually turned our backs on hubby because he was refusing to talk to us because we'd been ribbing him.  So we said we weren't moving until he started talking again, we were all giggling and laughing about it by the time we'd done!   As it happened he got this shot which shows you just how awesome this sculpture at Yorkshire Sculpture Park is!

Next up blue cardstock base, the other bit of that floorboard paper some washi tape, photos hand journalling with my amazing white pen and a sticker to add to the mix.  We were on Flamborough Head beach on a very cold February morning - it's one of my favourite places on the Yorkshire Coastline!

Next up I went all geometric on this one, again really simple 3 squares of paper onto a bright background to make those photos pop.  Photos taken at NT Eyam Hall and show the 'graffiti' on the windows, done a long time ago and amazing to see!

And finally this family selfie taken by hubby of me, him and said 14 year old as we wandered around the outside of Eyam Hall.  I actually used a patchwork design on this layout that I'd seen online to create the background - in all honesty I don't think it works as well as when it's created in fabric - but hey it's done now!

And that my lovely people is your lot for this Sunday morning hope you are having a very happy scrapping day!

COUNTERFEIT KIT - 12 13 AND 14

Morning all well time to share the next lot of layouts from this month's kit.

The first layout works with the yellows and oranges in the kit which I thought were a great combination with the pinks in the photo.  Using some bright geometric circles a little bit of handstitching and the title using up some stickers I've had a while.  The photo itself is a completely unexpected surprise parcel from the very lovely Lesley.  She was aware I was having a rough time before Christmas and parcelled up a happy book, a snowman bar of chocolate and a little bottle of red - I cried when I opened it - such a thoughtful gift from a beautiful and amazing person!

Next up the frozen dam at Worsbrough, on a blue sky day in January what you really need is some fresh air.  The combination of oranges and blues and yellows I felt really complemented the photo.  The design of this layout came from the monthly sketch on UK Scrappers! I love a great sketch!

Finally a layout that makes me giggle.  Using up strips of paper, additions of washi tape and a few hole punched hearts and that photo!  This was my first (and I might add last) attempt at a slimming world brownie, they smelt like brownies they didn't however quite hit the spot with said 14 year old - as you can see from that look on his face!

Hope you have been having fun with your kit this month!
