ROCKING YOUR WORLD FRIDAY - 8TH OF 2022

 Morning lovely people I hope I find you all well, tis Friday time for 

Well I was still off last weekend, but we had had wall to wall storms, first Dudley, then Eunice and then Franklin which meant not much venturing and a lots of scrapbooking, so I'll share with you what I did over the weekend.

It was lovely scrapbooking one of the holidays from last year

I put together a kit with a good amount of papers

and managed to get into September on the scrapping front. 

I'm grateful that my valentine roses are doing really well

I'm also grateful for hubby who made me pancakes on Sunday morning which I had with some fruit

I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon on Sunday making some male cards as I didn't have any in my birthday card box, strangely enough I really enjoyed doing them. 

and before I knew it we were back at Monday morning and back into work. 

I worked from home Monday morning as I had a hospital appointment at 11.30am and then went into work in the afternoon. 

The rest of the week has tripped along at a merry old pace, I'm really keeping my fingers and toes crossed that we get some dry weather this weekend as I really could do with blowing off the cobwebs.

ROCKING YOUR WORLD FRIDAY - 7TH OF 2022

 Good Morning lovely people tis Friday time for 

Well overall it has been something of a relatively quiet week, but let me dig deep to find some positives.

First up last Friday a meet up with my Mum, my sister, said 21 year old, hubby and myself at Ikea for breakfast was really lovely, we put the world to rights and had a good chat and some nice food which is always a win. 

Afterwards, hubby dropped me at the local shopping centre where I met up with a good friend and old work colleague for a coffee for a couple of hours we haven't seen each other since before the pandemic so it was lovely to meet up, she has been going through the mill a bit recently so it was nice to touch base in person. 

Saturday was a day of deep cleaning our bedroom, as I was off this week I had a list of things I wanted to sort and so I decided to try and get this harder job off the list first off and as hubby was willing to give me a hand we set too at a merry old pace and managed really quite well, getting everything sorted, in between getting the aerial man to re-secure the aerial as it had started to make a real racket with all the wind we've had recently. 

Sunday we had decided on a bun fight at our house (not literally that would be silly) with two valentine birthdays (Mum and hubby).  We made sandwiches, scones, bought a couple of cakes and my Mum brought a Victoria sponge. 

Here is the birthday girl open gifts, she is looking fabulous and more to the point feel well at the moment, which is a massive thing for all of us. 

There were only a few of us, but my niece had made the effort to come down from Leeds which was lovely. 

Hubby's birthday appeared on Monday and as if by magic he reached the big 60 - I honestly don't know where the years go sometimes.  We hadn't booked for an expensive meal out, but instead shared a grazing platter from Morrisons, with some fresh bread and whiled away a few hours, which was lovely.

As usual hubby had spoilt me with valentine gifts, these chocolates from Hotel Chocolat proving a real hit

The day after Valentine's day I got some beautiful flowers, I really do hate paying the over inflated prices and they are just as lovely the following day and for £2.50 a bargain into the mix.

We did book for a valentine's meal out on Wednesday at Tapas Revolution, the starter was simple but lovely, the main was divine (despite the lack of photos) but the dessert

was a beautiful sharing board, which both me and hubby (who isn't a big sweet fan) really enjoyed. 

and tonight, we headed out to see The Book of Dust at the local cinema part of the NT Live theatre shows which was brilliant. 

The rest of the week with the inclement weather has meant lots of scrapping time which will continue on Friday given the weather they've forecast again.  Here are this week's layouts.

ROCKING YOUR WORLD FRIDAY - 6TH OF 2022

 Good morning/afternoon/evening lovely people tis Friday time for

As most of you lovely people will know 'stopping' isn't something I do easily if I'm brutally honest, but we had such dreadful weather last weekend, that we decided to just kick back and have a housey weekend.

We did manage to finish the deep clean on the office including having a proper sort through our wardrobes which was definitely overdue and finding things I forgot I even owned.  It resulted in a pile for the charity shop as well as a pile of mending, but I don't mind that if I'm honest, I've ordered a few bits that I need in order to sort the repairs, so I will get on with those in the next couple of weeks. 

I bought some flowers for me, my sister and my Mum.  The bunch of flowers my sister had bought me the other week had almost all died off with the exception of the carnations and so I bought some more roses to add to them.  They have really made a stunning display! 

Other than that the rest of the weekend was spent scrapbooking and watching Six Nations as well as binge watching Reacher a series we've been waiting for an absolute age for, hubby has read some of the Lee Child books and we have obviously seen the Tom Cruise films, but it was fab that they put more time into the story. 

I really do love the time spent scrapbooking at this time of the year, despite 'catching up' last year, I am now officially behind again, but I'm hopeful I can make a dent on that.  I've made up a kit from my ample supply of papers and whiled away some significant time scrapbooking this lot. 

I'm sure you will recognise most of the photos as I've shared most on my blog at the time, but it is good to get them scrapbooked if I'm honest.

Me and hubby enjoyed the weekend, it has been quiet as said 21 year old has been at his fiancée's house but we don't mind. 

Monday I was back at work and as usual the week has tripped along at a merry old pace and I find myself once again at Thursday.
