ROCKING YOUR WORLD FRIDAY - 43RD OF 2022

Morning all tis Friday time for

Well it has been a funny old week if truth be told, last Friday I went for a physio appointment as I've an issue with my shoulder, the physio was fab and gave me some exercises to try and alleviate the issue.

Saturday was fine and dry and we had a final push to finish the new woodstores for the back of the house.

We were busy working all day and managed to get them completed.

This is how Saturday started

and this is how it ended

We ordered some wood later in the week which was delivered yesterday

and despite it being 2 tonne of wood, it only half filled the new stores, which is excellent news

So we enjoyed a fire this week also

The only downside to Saturday was that I fell, the garden is cluttered at the moment and it was unexpected but I've done some serious damage to my leg, which is now coloured a vivid yellow colour where the bruise is.

Regardless I went into hospital on Tuesday for my operation and am now back home recovering.

I'm taking it steady at the moment, I'm not allowed to lift anything so I'm having to be mindful of that and I'm struggling to sit, standing and laying not an issue, sitting not so great.

I did manage to sort through some layouts I did recently, which I've photographed and am now getting them put into albums, so that's a positive for this week.

Apart from that, I had a lovely catch up with my Mum on the phone the other day and I'm slowly recovering.

I hope you've had a good week too.

Hugs

ROCKING YOU WORLD FRIDAY - 42ND OF 2022

Good morning lovely people tis Friday time for

Well last Saturday was spent catching up with family, I got to catch up with my niece which was lovely as she lives in Leeds and I don't get chance to catch up very often.  My sister is going through the mill a bit at the moment, so we all wanted to be there for her.  It was a mentally tiring day.

Sunday we went to YSP, blogger is being naughty and putting the photos in reverse but her, this was a new artwork in the centre by a recent graduate, she had used inspiration from the park and created silicone shapes.

Outside the 'future relics' sculptures were fabulous

A giant rabbit

astronaut

classical statue

the head reminded me of the Statue of liberty

Pikachu

ET's bike

I absolutely adored the ombre tree in the park

loving the sun shining through the autumn leaves

a new sculpture by Randall page, using a single continuous line on this piece of granite

the view by the lake was lovely

they've moved the other astronauts

and this teapot one is fab

but the main reason for going was to see the Samantha Bryan display which is due to go on the 24 October, I absolutely adored this work

the fairies are soooooooooooooo cute

these two characters are so lovely

and this dust sprinkling fairy

genuinely I loved this display

Monday was a busy day in work, I'm due for an operation soon, so I'm trying to get top side of work in the interim as you can imagine this means I'm really busy again.

I hope you've had a lovely week.

ROCKING YOUR WORLD FRIDAY - 41ST OF 2022

Good afternoon lovely people, can you believe I genuinely forgot, yep Sunday afternoon and no rocking post on Friday apologies

Now blogger being naughty has put these on the wrong way around, we had a lovely week away at Stratford and the weather was on the whole very kind.

This was our last day at Sudeley Castle enjoying their sculpture trail

I also loved this as a nod to the fact that Elizabeth the first had been to Sudeley

This looked significantly smaller from a distance.

I also loved the huge elephants

I loved these sculptures in New Place in Stratford inspired by the Tempest

Anne Hathaway's Cottage was also a delight and significantly bigger than I expected

It really is a beautiful building

The cottage also had a sculpture trail, hubby insisting on taking the photo from the 'wrong' side.

Hatton locks was fantastic a feat of engineering 21 locks

The jester was lovely in Stratford itself

William Shakespeare's birthplace had this stunning porcelain statue inspired by Midsummer Night's dream

and we went to Bourton-on-the-water model village, the only grade II model village in the country

Chedworth Roman mosaics were stunning

Snowshill was also amazing, a house full of collections

Packwood was also lovely, although we didn't get chance to see the house, but the gardens were lovely

As you can see I was enjoying having a break away

Our first day was spent walking around Baddesley Clinton

So the week was lovely and much needed, we had a very busy week at work but I really did enjoy the break.

We also enjoyed two Shakespeare plays Richard III and All's Well that Ends Well both of which were awesome.

ROCKING YOUR WORLD FRIDAY - 40TH OF 2022

So we are here again already and it is October, genuinely how did that happen.

So last Friday me and hubby had a day off doing a little bit of tootling around.

We went and got ourselves the primark version of an Oodie - very warm blanket like top which is super light work and super warm.

We popped to Ikea and had lunch which was lovely, bought a frame from there.

We then went to Hobbycraft and I used my £5 birthday voucher they sent me to buy some Thickers alphas because I definitely wouldn't pay £7 for them normally so £2 was a lovely price to pay.

The Range still had a few autumn items in, I'm technically avoiding the Christmas items yet as it feels too early.

Then we went to Cineworld to see Ticket to Paradise which was lovely, other than the rather noisy girls sat behind us, thankfully the cinema was really quiet so we moved seats so we could enjoy finishing the film.

I'm going to leave it there as we have a holiday booked and we technically won't land home until Saturday.

I'll catch you up on our adventures next week.
