Good morning, I hope I find you well, it's time to share the layouts that I've made with the gorgeous kit from Jen at Wear Crafts - now it has been so popular that Jen has run out of kits, but check out her website anyway as she always has some fabulous papers and always has some great kits available!

so first up another layout from Chatsworth last year, again the papers are just so beautiful I didn't want to drown them out so I added the brown block at the back, overlapped the post card elements, added a photo and some hand journalling and some burlap stickers and it was done!
Next up it was fab to finally get these photos documented, these are the 'gifts' given to the children in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by Father Christmas, the photos were quite poor given the light levels and lack of flash usage - although I can't grumble as Chatsworth is fantastic in allowing photos to be taken!
Again a simple layout, little strips of paper documenting the day, a strip of contrasting paper and Noel lettering, fab stuff!

So first up the three of us on a barge trip in the summer. I loved the papers and wanted to use the key elements from this one. I used a border punch on the top and bottom and then stuck to some dotted cardstock, matted the photo added a couple of hearts and it was done!
Next up Bowes museum which we visited earlier in the year. Again using a border punch, using some of the cut elements from other papers in the kit and some of the stickers.
And the final layout using this kit me and said 14 year old at our second visit to Wroxeter's Roman Villa. A strip of the floral paper, couple of strips of the plaid style papers, three hole punched hearts. I used a grungy stamp on the layout and added the title.

The last two layouts created using this months kit, that's five layouts out of the kit with only the addition of photos, a bit of white card stock and a few bits of embellishments lying around (namely washi and tissue tape).
First up a photo of The Humber Bridge from the summer, me and hubby were heading for a few days away and were travelling towards the east coast; we knew we were getting closer as this loomed in front of us!
I did some decorative border strips, added a little washi tape, cut some white squares out and added some of the gorgeous heart stickers from the range!
And last but not least the photo of Withernsea pier entrance (not that the pier still exists). I loved the frame paper and the great stickers such as the picnic basket. I added lots of little heart stickers and the Memories sticker as my title!

My second layout using the 12 Pledges kit from Wear Craft for October 2014, I kept this one intentionally clean in lines, using the tree PL style card for the title, colour blocks to make the page pop and a photo from my phone.
Me and hubby were venturing around Burton Agnes garden which is well worth a visit enjoying the beautiful plants and the giant board games, I love the Alice in Wonderland feel of this photo!

Well doesn't time fly when you are having fun and yet another beautiful release from Jen at Wear Crafts as October draws to a close!
These beautiful autumnal papers really did pack a punch as I put them together and decided this month to try for some colour blocking style pages. This is my first offering.
I split all the papers up into sections to play with and then started to reassemble them.
This photo documents me and hubby in front of Hardwick New Hall (AKA Malfoy Manor from the Harry Potter films).
I added strips of decorative borders which I punched out of white cardstock and some words off some tissue tape that I got hold of recently.
I used the reciprocal tree piece in another layout and so to prevent them looking the same I added a strip of black and some stickers to it to make it look different.

So rounding off the layouts created from the lovely Jen at Wear Crafts, 12 Pledge's Kit for August 2014.
So with those one I scored a sheet of blue cardstock at 2 inches, 4 inches, 6 inches 8 inches and 12 inches both horizontally and vertically and then did a hand running stitch up and down these squares. I then add the square cut out elements and inked them and then applied them haphazardly to the paper.
Photo from Flamborough Head beach. The title strip, the piece of paper behind and the one along the bottom edge of the photo were simply the cut off strips of paper that give you the name of the paper etc, which in this case had a little bit of the design included on them.
Up close you can see the stitching and the inked edges slightly better
This was the final page I put together, I was tempted to go for the blocked rectangular layout that I have enjoyed over recently months, but again decided to mix it up. Inked a blue cardstock sheet. Overlaid the rectangles, added stitching and washy tape - the photo was as stated the world's best crab sandwich.
I stamped the word crab on one of the journal elements and low and behold, Jen must have known about the sandwich as there was a 'crab' piccie on one of the design cards which I cut out and mounted on foam dots!
All in all a fun layout to finish off this fabulous kit. So for £5 I added a sheet of blue cardstock and a sheet of white, a bit of washi tape, couple of buttons, a bit of embroidery thread and a couple of doilies. And managed, not one or two or three or even four layout but six in total. As always a fabulous kit Jen - thank you!

Good morning lovely people 4th layout from me, believe it or not this one came about after I'd done four layouts already and all I had left were scraps - I know crazy right.
First of all I stamped a little bit of the background blue card stock, which I had added to the kit. Then I added some shaped edges, I gutted the papers to get the most out of them. I added a doily and a bit of washi tape to the layout too.

I then punched the tag, hand stitched on a couple of wooden buttons I had lying around and the sticker with the word fun on and finished off the layout. Sometimes when you think you have little left in a kit that's when the kits come into their own!

Good morning, so I've been playing with the kit that Jen sent for the August Wear Crafts 12 Pledges kit - it is gorgeous, lots of blues and turquoise, splash of red and seaside and water themed - what more could I ask for. So without further ado this is my first layout.
I loved the boxey style paper, so cut the outer boxes as a border which I think really works. I inked and stamped the background cardstock which I added to the kit, added a shaped edged, cut the fabulous wave paper and got to work
The photo was taken at Bridlington earlier in the year. I added the lettering from a sheet I previously got from Wear Crafts and then added a little bit of hand stitching.
I'd actually run out of the letter 't' in this set so played with the letter 'l' with a white pen and a marker pen, up close you can just about make it out but from afar - not so much!

Ooh I've had fun with this weeks colours if I'm honest. However, it does seem to have taken me all week in which to finish them off, not sure why. I did the gelli prints on Monday and then I've been playing with them since. So without further ado eyes down starter for ten
Bluebell woods earlier in the year, this layout was part of a UK Scrappers challenge for this week.
Next up a welcome beer after the wall walk around York recently. Gelli print, mounted on cardstock and then additional elements added.
Then the only wood distillery for lavender oil in the country - the places we find!
These photos are from some textile art at Yorkshire Sculpture Park that we saw recently, I loved the detail, even if some of the items used were a bit gruesome (animal intestines - don't ask).
Then the stealth F35 plane we found at the Yorkshire Air Museum - get it?
Next up the anniversary bowl created by me and hubby at a paint the pot place earlier in the year. It was a wedding anniversary activity, rather than just a gift swap! Much more meaningful and lovely memories.
Then me and said 13 year old at the top of Clifford's Tower in York, you can see York minster in the background. The main thing is - how tall is said 13 year old!
Are you bored yet? No - you lot are mad, maybe even as crazy as me.
Next up me and hubby at the paint a pot place, painting the pot!
Then I've done a series of mail art/art pieces, most of which will be winging their way to Sarah for her free art Friday in Swindon which is happening later on in July. Most of these are A5, with either magazine images on, with the addition of stamping and oil pastels, or hand painted elements, or a mixture of both! Do you have a favourite?

Good evening well we find outselves on the last Friday of the month which can only mean one thing - the release of the next kit from Wear Crafts and at only £5 for the kit - what are you waiting for!!! I love these kit that Jen puts together because they are so very different each month, last month we had pastel colours, this month we have a powerhouse of colour. If you want to get your paws on one - then head over to Wear Crafts Link here So without further ado - this is what I've been creating with it.
This month I wanted to max the kit and show you it's versatility. So I did lots of die cutting and dry embossing. I started off cutting the page into 9 squares of 4" x 4" pieces, then I die cut the circle in the centre. With some of the green card stock I ran it through an embossing folder and then highlighted the design with a little white paint. With others I folded the circles to create squares. I matted my photo added some lovely little wooden embellishments. So what's the photo you might be asking, it is what we saw when we looked up when we wandered into Sheffield Cathedral.
Up close you can see the embossing and the cuts from the die cutter.
Then the next page, I kept with the gesso look, using it through a mask on the background, then I added some stamped stars and then strips of paper which I rounded at the edge, using some clothing tags that came off a recent purchase for said 13 year old! Punched hearts and a little doodling around the edge and the layout was really coming together.
The photo is of three of the Easter eggs we had to find, on our way around Wentworth Castle at Easter on an Easter Egg hunt, neither niece or said 13 year old were overly impressed, until they realised there was a prize - which turned out to be chocolate, you can imagine that they were much more impressed then!
Up close you can see how a little bit of gesso can really make the difference to plain backgrounds and then hand doodled hearts.

Morning all sharing another layout created from the 12 pledges kit recently released by Wear Crafts.
I hand cut the scalloped edge from a strip I had left over from the kit, I placed one piece to frame the bottom of the page and the other at the top, I then hand stitched around the scallops with red embroidery thread from my cross stitching days.
I hand stamped an old stamp using white ink on the black cardstock. Rounded the corners on the photo and on the photo matt and added another one of those beautiful card elements from the papers, mounting on top of a shaped card.
The photo strangely enough documents the first ever I repeat ever bowl of soup said 13 year old tried and ate, and for the record it was homemade tomato and chorizo soup!

Morning All - well this week has definitely flown by with the blink of an eye, I'm a bit short of photos I'm afraid - but hey let's see what grateful moments I have.
Last weekend was forecast for being a wet and miserable affair so we had no 'plans' to venture far and wide, however, it turned out to be a lovely weekend - so this weekend we'll be ignoring the forecast and heading out regardless.
However, time at home with hubby and son last weekend meant that I dragged out my sewing machine and my new needle felter to play with. Said 13 year old decided that he wanted to have a 'play' he's used my sewing machine before but was ultimately intrigued with the needle felter - it turned out that we had to take it in turns to use it!
These are two cushions made by said 13 year old, the first one I helped cut out the elements of it and he did the felting and putting the cushion together and didn't he do a grand job!
The one he did the following day was of his own doing, cutting the elements, needle felting and stitching the pillow case.
And then he also made one for his cousin which I don't have a photo of, we had a fab time playing and are loving the ideas we've come up with as a result of this new piece of kit! So I'm grateful for a fab 13 year old!
Actually talking about said 13 year old, he really is an absolute joy to be around at the moment, he is smiley, chatty, he loves to catch up on our day and tell us about his day, he declared on Wednesday that he'd had "a great day at school today, Mum!" - how fab is that and his positivity really is infectious!
Next grateful - Happify - I've left this alone for an age but recently I was so low and didn't know how to pull myself out of it mentally that I went back to Happify. I love this site and have used so many of the tracks, the current one I'm on is releasing more positivity into my life.
As a result of that Monday saw changes, nothing that warranted flags being waved or anything like that, just a determination to make changes and do you know this week has been particularly fabulous as a result. The change in mental outlook really is pretty blinking special!

Wear Crafts 12 Pledges Kit
Morning All well this is the final layout I created using the fabulous Wear Crafts 12 Pledges Kit released last Friday
As I came to the end of the kit, I had lots of these beautiful page elements still around, now they could easily be incorporated into a layout one at a time, but to showcase the versatility of the kit I wondered what they would look like grouped together.
I grabbed a sheet of black cardstock, stamped on it with versamark and then used some embossing powder to create a texture background.
I cut the oval out of the centre of one of the elements, to create the photo frame (then turned the oval over to create an oval page element behind the frame).
I then layered up the other elements I had remaining.
I love the finish to this page, just documenting a photo of said 13 year old when we were on a walk last year, enjoying the fresh air - nothing finer!
