FINISHING OFF THE BLOG FOLDER

You will remember that I've been sharing some of the remaining items that have been lurking in my blog folder for some time.

First up a birthday mini book for my friend's daughter

I send them blank with lots of add ons and some double sided tape so she can fill it full of photos relating to birthdays and parties etc.

The inside of the book was quite simple as the papers were really effective, the book is in the style of the one I created for the Wear Crafts National Scrapbook Day in 2014

And these are a selection of the pages and pockets

Here is the link that relates to the original post with a downloadable instructions for this book if you fancy a go yourself

I also did some fun mail art last October, when asked to do a guest blog post over on the Weird Scissors Blog, check out their blog here

And finally the UK Scrappers stocking I put together last year with some of the contents, the main reason for sharing it, is that it's the first time I've made a stocking and I was rather pleased with the finished result

Hope you have a happy scrapping day!

SHARING MORE CREATIONS

Good morning, following on from yesterday's posts I thought I'd share some other recent makes that don't come in the 12 x 12 format.

This one is a little mini book I created for a school friend, the design is the same as the one I created for Wear Crafts National Scrapbook Day last year using some fun bright papers I had.

I love to create these little books, I do one for each of her daughters and also a Christmas mini book too and I know she has an absolute blast filling with lots of memories and photos documenting birthdays and Christmas.

I think it also shows how versatile the mini book is, I've done it in all sorts of papers and the book looks different every time.

The other positive on this one is that it also not too big, so hopefully not too daunting to fill.

Lots of glittery happy papers!

Lots of other things to share over coming days - you'll have to forgive me if they are Christmas based though!

CKCB - LAYOUTS 6, 7 AND 8

Morning all - more counterfeit kit layouts this morning, I'm having fun with the kit up to now but as yet haven't managed any of the challenges - hopefully will resolve that this evening.

First up hubby and Lara Croft's vehicle from when we visited a car museum last year.

I used a small stamp I got recently for the title and journal blocks.

Next up is a layout I did as part of the Big Picture Classes for national scrapbook day, I'm not one for blending paint with my scrapping very often because I don't like the fact that it 'buckles' my paper, however I've discovered leaving it underneath my two craft mats over night goes a long way to flattening it back out.  I know a lot of people use chipboard as a base but I dread to think how heavy my layouts would be if I used chipboard all the time!

And the final one is another Big Picture Class inspired layout.  It was to create a page in a project life style and include lots of photos, I did two of these layouts (need to share the other one yet) but if I'm honest it didn't really float my boat - not as much as the one above, I think it was a case of if you are going to do project life do it if you know what I mean!

Right work beckons hope you're all having a good day!

Here are the PDF instructions for the book

WEAR CRAFTS - MINI BOOK INSTRUCTIONS

Now the decoration of the books is really up to yourself but knowing what I'm like with mini book classes sometimes you want to repeat the original design, so here is the detail

Pull out from the first pocket

And the back of it

Now on a couple of the pages - I gutted the centre element and used the frame on one page (as in the yellow frame below
and used the centre element on the opposite page

Another gutted frame, the sentiment was used on the front cover

The second mini book

another one of the 'gutted' frames, frame on the left and gutted piece on the right

And again, frame on the left, gutted piece on the right

I did the same with this page, took out the bracket and then used some 'scraps to put behind the page
then used the cut bracket on the right hand page
This page was technically 'portrait', by turning it I had letters going the wrong way down the page, therefore I cut the ink pen element and stuck over the words

Pocket elements

And yes before you ask I have completed the mini book here is what mine looks like

This is a pull out pocket element
and the back of the pull out

The little wooden embellishments are part of another Wear Crafts kit and was an add on to the mini book.

Still got to get the date for the photo!

Another gutted page, and used a circular photo
The gutted circle on the left hand page.

 Pull out pocket element
 and the back of it
Gutted frame placed over the top of the photo
The gutted bracket used as a journal block on the right.

 Another gutted frame
Journal block

 and here it is finished
 And from above
 The other mini book
again the wooden butterfly is part of another Wear Crafts kit

Another gutted frame over the top of the photo

the letters chapel comes from the gorgeous sticker sheet which is part of the kit!

And there you have it, hope you like and hope you get to enjoy the instructions.

Happy National Scrapbook Day
