I didn't have enough papers left to add to this layout and I had a pack of new stamps, so I set too creating a fun background using distress inks, to document this photo!

MONDAY SIGH - WHAT CAN I SAY - PUBLISHED, TIRED AND WALK...

Life just seems so full on at the moment, really and truly blink and it's Friday blink again and it's Monday which means Christmas is hurtling towards me and I'm not at all prepared, added to that that I need to slow the season down to enjoy it and I'm unsure of how I'm going to manage that, thankfully my Journal Your Christmas is right around the corner, so hopefully that will allow me to take stock a little - we shall see!

So I'm sharing layouts at the rate of 2 to 3 a day - you may ask if this is a never ending pile - I shall answer - nope the end is in sight which is worrying as I always have some 'in stock' as it were.  Might have to head off to find me a challenge to get me going again on the scrapbook layout it isn't as if I don't have enough photos to scrap now is it!

So first up a layout of the one and only time I've ever been published, it was in the now defunct Scrapbook Magazine and was organised in its entirety by Jen at Wear Crafts (she is a star).  I obviously had to capture this moment in a scrapbook layout!

Next up the aftermath of a weekend retreat in the Peak District for said 15 year old, we did have to wonder whether he would cope with the 20 day expedition to Lesotho if this is what he was like after a weekend, but we needn't have worried he managed just fine! 

And the two of them stood by a giant tree when we went to Bodnant Gardens, a fabulous day out and a stone's throw from where we were staying!

WEAR CRAFTS - NOVEMBER LAYOUT - THE FINAL ONE

Evening all, well the last layout created using these gorgeous Simple Stories legacy papers, if you fancy getting your hands on something similar then pop over to Jen's Wear Crafts website!

I have one single layout left to share, I matted the paper onto the green background, hand cut the flag elements, punched a couple of butterflies and hand stamped the Just Us title.  Photo taken on a frozen beach at Centre Parcs in January!

LILAC

Good morning, well it's mighty foggy here in Yorkshire, so I've opted for a bright and vibrant layout today.  

These are the new layouts that I've created this month as all the old layouts have been used up.

I was doing 'ok' with this layout when I was creating it but the border was quite poorly cut around the outside, I was using up scraps from my scraps bag but really didn't want to throw the border away, so I added it nonetheless and then added a washi tape addition to make it pop and to cover up the poor cutting - win win - the border gets used and I create a layout I like!

MID-WAY POINT - AND A FEW LAYOUTS!

Yay I made it to Wednesday LOL - the week has been a mighty strange one up to now, so I'm glad it's Wednesday, busy day scheduled ahead so hopefully it will be a quick day - but we shall see!

As those who've wandered across recently will know I've been trying to 'clear' my blog folder of the older layouts and so I have a few more this morning to share.

First up me and hubby at Hodsock Priory during the snow drop season, we had a lovely day and I found out about it through a very serendipitous moment the day before, I'd never heard of the place until then!

I actually enjoyed layering this one up with lots of different elements and embellishments.

Next up a closer shot of me and hubby in front of Gainsborough's Old Hall, I shared another layout the other day when we were miles away - so I had to do a layout that was close up!

And then a layout I did at a local scrapbook class with my Mum, unfortunately the class is no more, but we had fun when we were there.  Photo of my niece on Christmas Day last year!

Then a lovely bright one to match the flowers at Bodnant Gardens earlier in the summer, absolutely fabulous place to visit during the Rhododendron season.  

And last up a family selfie at Nostell Priory.  I loved painting up the huge letters but didn't have a clue initially how I was going to incorporate them into my layout!

So there we have it - more layouts shared, I best get making some new ones don't you think!

ROCKING YOUR WORLD FRIDAY... AND LAYOUTS 15 + 16 CKCB

Good morning, well it's Friday (again I hear) and it's time to take stock of the positives - this one will most definitely be a dig deep week because of my poorly back but I'm sure there are some positives to be had.

First up has to be the most beautiful gift that I received from Jen this week!

Made by her Dad, it wasn't expected and was quite overwhelming when I opened it - a beautiful Celtic Knot and we all know how much I love my Celtic knots.

Next up is hubby for coming to my rescue when my back went on Tuesday, arriving home, racing out to get a new tens machine, sorting some voltarol gel, making sure I'm OK, driving me to work on Thursday and picking me up because I can't press the clutch down - my knight in shining armour - he really is a gem!

Sunday having family over for a barbecue, it was blue skies, fun and laughter all the way - such happy times.  Did too much food as always but enjoyed it nonetheless!

Oh next up has to be Wear Crafts 12 Pledges, in amongst the madness that was setting in with the back pain I managed to prepare a few layouts for the kits due to be released in May and June - I can't tell you how much fun these were to work on and how lovely it is to work with gorgeous papers - sheer bliss I tell you!

First up hubby and said 13 year old on our walk recently, we found a view point from which we could see a needle sculpture, it was well hidden in the trees.  This was also a challenge on UK Scrappers which was to use a Winnie the Pooh quote for a title.

Then me and said 13 year old at the RSC - apparently being pursued by a bear.

Quite a quick layout given how much colours was going on in the same.
