Rocking Your World Friday - 9th of 2020

Good morning lovely people tis Friday and time for

Well last Friday we had my Mum's 70th birthday party planned and what a lovely evening it was with family and friends travelling from far and wide to come and celebrate

Here is the birthday girl chatting with her brother on the left and a family friend in the centre

One of my Uncle's and two Aunty's in this photo

Then a fab group shot with lots and lots of cousins and family members.

Just cousins on this one, we weren't all there but it was fab to have a fair few that could pose for a photo

The rest of the weekend was relatively normal.  We had a catch up with my Mum on the Saturday and brought home cake (which was nom).

We watched Six Nations Rugby and just chilled for the rest of Saturday.

Sunday we managed a trip to YSP (always a favourite) and popped for more cake from my Mums, (it was two layers and each layer was a different flavour, chocolate orange on the top and Victoria sponge at the bottom).

And made a super speedy roast dinner.

All together a really lovely weekend and much needed with the essential walk in the middle as I've really missed them.

The rest of the week has been mighty busy and a little on the quiet side of an evening, my iron reserves are low (again) and I'm finding that I'm dosing earlier in the evening because I'm so tired, but its been a good week.  Said 19 year old visited his girlfriend for a few days at her uni.

I've also officially finished 2017 scrapbook layouts (so many)

So am now frantically sorting photos so I can sort the next lot that need scrapping.

And that my lovely people was my week.

If you fancy joining in pop a post together come back and link up and we can come and visit.

The family party looks a great success and I am sure (eventually) the pics will find their way onto layouts! Well done on finishing 2017 though. Happy Weekend!!

Oh your mum looks great! What a party! (I will be celebrating my 70th next year! I try not to think of it)
It's wonderful to see you and all (well, most) of your family. What a great crowd of people. It looks like it was a fab evening.
The internet is pants today (as it was last night) It takes ages to load a page. Like in the old days of telephone internet. We have put our name down for fibre-optic internet which has now arrived in our village. But we haven't got it yet. I applied at the beginning of January, but we're still waiting. It will mean 10x faster (we go from 10 to 100 Mb/min) so that will be a big difference.
Have a lovely weekend (in spite of the bad weather),
Hugs,
Lisca

What a lovely family get-together. I love occasions like this.
I doze too early in the evenings too but then I tend to wake up and go to bed too late. Not good for my body clock.
It sounds like you had a good weekend so I hope that gets you through another week of work. Kate x
P.S. Sorry I was late linking. Your link in my reading list kept taking me to a non-existent site, until today when it worked?! x
