Good morning, another few layouts from me this morning, first up a photo of hubby taken in Conwy which I always seem to spell wrong! Using up elements from a kit, it probably does need something else, just not sure what!
Next up an instagram photo of a visitors book, I did a couple of pages in when we were holidaying in Wales last year, giving people a heads up of where to go and what to do etc.
And then using up heart elements and a kit I'd done, another layout of me and hubby at Swallow Falls last year!
Good Afternoon lovely people, another double page spread to share today, this one is said 15 year old at Trefriw Woollen Mill. We did the self guided tour backwards (don't ask), and ended up in the Weaver's Cottage, the lady in there was sat spinning on a wheel and there was so much to look at. She encouraged us to have a go at each of the weaving looms, from the basic peg loom all the way up to a full blown weaving loom with moving heddles, foot peddles etc!
We were in the cottage ages and thoroughly enjoyed chatting to the lady who had so much information about spinning and weaving that she was happy to chat to us about.
Needless to say by the time we left said 15 year old really really wanted a loom - preferably the giant room sized one; what we ended up with was a peg loom but enjoyable nonetheless.
Morning all tis Friday and only one item on the agenda this morning
Well this week has been a busy one if I'm honest.
Last Friday night we headed off to the arena to see Thunder in concert, we also had two support bands King King and Terrorvision (who we've seen before), I really enjoyed King King they were brilliant and Thunder - well they have always and I'm sure will always turn out a pretty epic gig and that is exactly what we were treated to!
It was actually a 'half arena' gig - which we haven't been to before but it really works well, they should definitely do more of those!
We've also been brave this week and got up at 6am for a walk, I know - mad yes, the thing is we'd realised recently that we can't really afford a whole hours walking at night when we've been at work but both me and hubby lead quite sedentary lives at work so we've got no alternative but to find other ways of exercising, so we decided on waking early and going for an early morning walk to get us off the starting blocks as it were.
With this early morning walk we've been treated to beautiful night time skies
and within half an hour - beautiful sunrise skies - in the same walk!
I also realised that I'd not managed to photograph my tiny tete a tete daffodils in the garden that have sprung up so before they disappear completely I managed a photo of them, Kate's photos last week reminded me to take a photograph of them!
Then when I was at home Wednesday as I haven't been 100% I glanced out of the TV room window and saw this guy on the fence.
And here he is again just under the kitchen window, I've heard him for a few mornings but hadn't managed to spot him until yesterday!
Parents evening feedback was good, although the need for more revision became the sentence of the night, thankfully said 15 year old has already acknowledged this which was good!
Thursday found us at the theatre to see Macbeth by a production company called Out of Chaos - pretty much the whole play done by two actors, using a table, two chairs, two torches and two torch boxes as props - all in 80 minutes. If you get chance to see them in a play I can highly recommend them - an absolute riot to watch!
And then it is Friday... the kettle is boiling, the washing machine whirring, the blue skies of the week have changed for grey clouds but its dry (although a little cold). Next plan is the vacuuming trying to get the house ship shape before 9am - best get on with it then.

Good morning, I hope Wednesday is treating you well.
I've a double page layout to share this morning, I sometimes find that I have a mix of photographs that I can't choose between but were all taken pretty much at the same time - I can see you are all nodding on this one.
An easy way to include lots of these photos without it being an album all the same is to do a double page layout, which is what I've done with a mix of photographs from Swallow Falls in Wales.
We made our way down the steps thinking that would lead to the best photographs, thankfully we explored once we got back up the steps and although the view of the water and the sound was amazing at the bottom, the iconic image of the falls was actually fairly easy to get to and near the top! So we took photos in both areas, some of each other and a few selfies!

Morning all, I hope I find you all well, Tuesday greets us with some blue skies which is always a positive in my book.
First up a layout taken outside the Great Orme Copper Mine, showing the entrance areas into the once bustling mine that was only uncovered in recent years! I thought the photo worked with the muted colours on this layout!
Then exploring on Anglesey, one of the many burial mounds to be found on the island, unfortunately not very well sign posted, thankfully we found this one relatively easy, but would love to explore a bit more of the island to find the rest!
I cut the chevrons out of a sheet of paper to add to this layout and used the remaining chevrons on the layout below this one!
The queen of hearts statue in Llandudno, the very last statue we found on the Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass trail. Fabulous stuff!
Good morning, lovely people, it's Monday already sigh, I'm sure the weekends work on a fast forward button.
However, on a positive note, had a fabulous weekend, really enjoyed spending time with hubby and said 15 year old. We've got a busy week ahead as well.
So first up a layout I did documenting our wedding anniversary last year, I did a double page scrapbook layout to compare where we were when we got married versus where we were last year, the photo is of hubby reading the pages.
The heart photo is his gift to me from him, it is an ametrine heart and is beautiful, he recently bought me a chain so that I can to wear it. The layout isn't my normal style, but I had a couple of quirky frame lefts over from a shape I'd cut so decided to give them a whirl.
The kit is a counterfeit kit I put together this month, but haven't properly documented - but it doesn't really matter as I got layouts done which is the main thing!
Another one from Gainsborough Hall and yes Gina you really should go it is a fabulous day out, much larger than we imagined and fairly easy to find once in Gainsborough, we just went left when we crossed over the bridge and found a car park turned around and could spot the hall from there. It's also good if the weather isn't up to much because it's obviously all inside and it's got a lovely coffee shop at the end! The photo is me and said 15 year old in the great hall.
And another one from Gainsborough, they have replicated a piece of Henry VIII clothing in one of the displays which has detailed goldwork on it. They've then replicated the embroidery piece from the clothing and put it on a frame, so you can see the detail (both front and back). As said 15 year old is doing textile arts this was really interesting, but more amazingly is actually hand couching - a technique said 15 year old had recently learnt to do using a sewing machine! We were both really impressed with the detail and also the fact that the method has been around for such a long time!
Another bright and happy set of photos. This time it's from Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the iron tree outside the chapel and then a piece of Henry Moore sculpture that was there last year. I love Yorkshire Sculpture Park (as regular readers will known)!
So there we have it, plenty of layouts still to share, fighting with a few more last night but almost beaten them into submission. Have a fabulous Monday!
