Morning all - well officially 31st March - how did that happen - no really how?
So thought I'd share a few layouts from the blog folder. First up said 14 year old and me after his colour assault challenge last year - had no idea how much of the paint had ended up on us until we got home - I had green hair!
Then a family barbecue at home just chilling
And finally a layout showing elements of Much Wenlock Priory including a panoramic shot!
My official take on November up to now is that it's going way too fast - I mean really really really fast!
So I thought I'd have a blog folder clear out ready for photographing some layouts at the weekend.
First up a summery layout using three panoramic photos from when we were staying at Wenlock Edge in the summer. I couldn't make my mind up which one to use so decided on all three. A really simple layout but glad I managed to use all the shots!
Next up, one I've been saving literally all year as it was Christmas related I thought you might all throw cushions at your computer screen if I posted this earlier.
Another simple one, due to the busy background paper I layered up simple cardstock to create the layout. It documents my Mum and my sister perusing the TV guide last year on Christmas day - they looked awfully guilty if I'm honest!

Well it has to be said that I'm having an inordinate amount of fun with the Counterfeit Kit that I put together for the very first time this month. I've shared 3 layouts with you up to now, but I've done plenty more.
I managed a double page layout, the 'zig zag' on the page comes from a template, I had a sheet of stickers that had a thin zig zag sticker on it, however the trouble with stickers is that they are single hits. However, once used I was left with the other side of the sticker which wasn't designed to be used but still had the shape on it. As it was self adhesive I stuck it to some scrap card stock and subsequently used it as a template to draw around and cut out to create colour coordinated embellishments.
Up close the red heart was painted some time ago and I'll be honest I never thought I'd use it on a layout - it was just too big, but looking at it as a potential journal block was enough to get me using it up!
The pages document, said 13 year old having a go at glass blowing at the Jackfield Tile Museum when we holidayed in Much Wenlock last Easter, they were a sequence of photos showing the development of the glass. As there were so many and I'd had them printed so big, I didn't think I'd get chance to showcase them in a layout - but with some careful cutting and a double page it was fairly easy to incorporate!

OK so last Friday saw me catching up with one of my cousins, I'd been promising myself all summer holidays that I'd give her a call but to be honest time was slipping away so I was grateful for just saying - stop!
And then phoning her, me and said 12 year old headed over and we chatted for hours, simple pleasures I tell you nothing finer. She has a daughter who is a couple of years younger than said 12 year old so being a similar age they had a fabulous time catching up, particularly as she's about to start the same secondary school as said 12 year old.
They have a beautiful home and a fabulous garden which is huge (nothing like the postage stamp we have) and so the kids were happy to while away the hours in the garden, on the trampoline and on the swing whilst we drank tea and coffee and chatted away!
She has been an absolute rock for me this year and its so lovely to catch up, said 12 year old had a fabulous day as he was very animated on the way home chatting about it. Made my heart happy. So that's my first grateful for the week.
Now this is where it gets a bit 'odd' because the rest of the week well I don't know because I'm prepping this in advance as we'll be away this next week so I'm not sure what the week will bring. But let's hazard a guess

We've a few 'must do's' whilst we are there because it's an area of the country we haven't been to before and I've heard it's beautiful. So fingers crossed for a good week. I hope your week has been good too, please come and link up so we can see what you've been up to!
I'll leave you with a layout (due to the lack of photos), this is a layout of said 12 year old when we were in Much Wenlock earlier in the year, his absolute delight to discover this landing piece that went through the kitchen above the kitchen area, I can tell you was so much fun! Then there are the shoe boxes with turtles in - turtle lifts galore, no doubt we'll have some of those this week but he'll have to contend with beams rather than staircases.
Good morning, well we've woken to crazy breezy grey mad weather again this morning, it doesn't feel like June particularly, although it is supposed to start settling down from tomorrow (fingers crossed). Hubby on with a full cooked English breakfast bless him and I've been catching up on lovely blogs so win win. Been up since 7am so already feeling tired but a nice Sunday stretches out in front of us.
Right what crafting do I have to share this morning?
This layout that I did of the welcome tray when we were stopping at a barn conversion in Much Wenlock, I really enjoyed working with this photo because the colours aren't my normal colour scheme. I used one of Mary-Anne's printables as a title on the page matted onto some green and yellow cardstock to make it pop. Up close you can see the chipboard hearts that I painted yellow, backed with green cardstock and used dots of glossy accents to create an embellishment. I also handstitched on the layout but because the yellow thread didn't stand out I ran a green thread through it as well! Also using up some daisy flowers in line with the papers, don't you love it when a layout just works.
