Good Afternoon and yes I know it is Saturday but let us just ignore that fact for it is time to clock the silver linings and positive moments from the last 7 days.
So last Thursday evening we went to the local college restaurant for their tasting menu 'A Taste of Asia' there are always good nights out.
Here are the canapes
Then we had a dhal soup served in tea cups with teaspoons
Hubby looking very serious, we were having a lovely evening
Then grilled prawns in a broth with fresh chapatis
Then final course Gulab Jamun which were little doughnuts, thankfully the courses are actually quite small (even if they don't look it) so you come away full but not absolutely stuffed which is lovely.
Then on Friday we went to see Russell Howard at the City Hall, the third comedian in 8 days and he was excellent as always, different humour to the other two but fun nonetheless.
I've continued in my pursuit to understand the crochet stitches and finished another scarf
My plan next is to try and work out how to do a granny square which should prove fun.
I've also started (or should I say restarted) dressmaking, it is something I did when I was young but haven't done for years. I've found an excellent pattern online and I've enjoyed taking my time and easing myself back in. I've now completed 3 dresses, all of them using duvet covers.
And finally the beautiful blue skies on our walk the other day, always good for the soul.
I hope you've had a lovely week too.
Hugs
