Rocking Your World Friday - 3rd of 2019

Good Evening lovely people I hope I find you well, tis Friday time for

So it has been a funny sort of week if I'm honest, a very mixed bag.

First up we managed a daylight walk which felt novel given how many we've done recently that have been in the dark evenings!

We had a lovely jaunt out on Saturday as a family back up to Yorkshire Sculpture Park, said 18 year old hadn't been recently and needed some new artwork for his current art brief so it worked really well.

There was a live performance occurring at the 'coffin jump' art installation.

And she went around twice

Said 18 year old hadn't seen this giant piece

And he loved the new tower piece which wasn't as misted as the last time we saw it.

I managed a little late night crafting and yes that is Christmas cards you lovely people!

The working week has been very busy and rather bitty but good overall.

I even managed to take Wednesday afternoon off and then we had a girly afternoon out to see Mary Poppins, it was my sister's childhood favourite (and we watched it so many many times) that I felt it would be a lovely idea to go and see the sequel together and then invited my Mum and niece along which was lovely.  We managed to have a coffee in Starbucks afterwards and had a bit of a catch up.

Then I find myself back at Friday and yes I did nearly forget I'm having major issues with blogger on my phone and it stopped me uploading photos which is my main method of uploading to this and obviously my brain decided it didn't want to play as I leapt up half an hour ago to get this sorted.  So apologies for my tardiness I will try harder next week.

I hope you've all had a grand week, if you fancy joining in pop a post together (which I've bet you've already done), come back and link up and I will try and visit, but it is likely to be tomorrow now.

  2. Great that you could join us. Better late than never.
Yay! You managed to make some christmas cards! That's what i call forward thinking. I should really do the same since the stuff has not been pùt away.
I have never seen the Mary Poppins (old or new) but I sort of vaguely remember Dick van Dyke and Julie Andrews... But you had a lot of fun and that is good.
I enjoyed the sculptures as usual. It's so nice to have that within easy driving distance. And it's good for blowing away the cobwebs.
I'm very curious what the quote is on the jumping hedge: In the middle - across lowering fields - woman saves man....
    Have a great weekend,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  3. Hi Virginia. Blogger is being very difficult at the moment. Your post only 'appeared' in my lists this morning (Monday). I checked several times over the weekend, yet you managed to comment on mine? I no longer get notification when someone comments, but after I have accepted and published one, I then get an email to say --- has left a comment! It's all so odd. Annie can only comment through her laptop but not her phone. But hey ho; we get there in the end.
I see you have been out and about again. I like the sculpture made of stone blocks and the tower. Not sure about all the wooden frames though.
I like your Christmas card. I haven't made much progress on mine this week, but this afternoon is set aside to have another go.
Your visit to see Mary Poppins sounds fun. I didn't know there was a sequel. It is good for the soul to leave work behind and spend time with the folks who are important to us. Better got some housework done now or this afternoon's craft session will go by the board again. Kate xx

  4. Lol....your not as tardy as me! Life just doesn't seem to stop at the moment, and I totally lost track of "days" with hubby being at home so randomly all month. Lovely post, regardless of your haste XXX
