Good morning all, well I find myself at Friday once again, time really does fly by at the moment.

Well it's been a mixed week of busy work time and some family time, but time to take stock of the positives!

First up said 14 year old who had is annual photo taken in front of the water feature just over a week ago, but I haven't shared the photo yet, towering above the bird feeder that in previous years I've had to be aware of when taking the photo (you know so it doesn't end up 'sticking out of the top of his head')

Sunday found us at Chatsworth Country Fayre, we had a lovely day - said 14 year old and hubby went off and found the fun stuff!

We met back up to go and watch the Mounted Games - truly awesome to watch - completely nuts but truly awesome!

We quite liked this shot at the end of the horse wearing the riding hat, he stood for ages wearing up but the horses either side kept nudging him to try and dislodge it!

We got to see the parachutes

Said 14 year old enjoying other items at the fayre - he needn't even consider this one!

We had a lovely blue sky day

And got to see the Red Arrows

Said 14 year old even had a sit in the giant chair which I said would make him look small for a change!

And getting back to the car for a car park picnic and watching the hot air balloons

We set off at 8am and didn't arrive home until 9pm an epic day all in all!

The rest of the week hasn't been quite so lovely if I'm honest, but that's because there was lots of work and little in the way of play time as it were.

I did however have a lovely journey into work on thursday going along the country roads, enjoying the slight mist in the distance, it really was a beautiful September morning!

I hope your week has been a positive one, if you fancy joining in then pop a post together, pop back and link up and we shall come and visit!

  3. Your lad has just reached the age when they shoot up. All of mine were looking down on me by the time they reached fourteen. The day out looks excellent. how lucky to have a sunny day for it. I hope you get lots of lovely Autumn mornings for driving to work. I loved this time of year in UK. We don´t have such clearly defined seasons out here. Kate x

  4. Lovely images yet again. You are definitely inspiring me to get out more. Joined National trust last weekend, and booked tickets for tonight's open air theatre at YSP :D XXX
