THE YEAR IN REVIEW

Well 2014 has been a bit of a fairground ride, twists and turns, ups and downs - you know the one - I think it's called life.

However, in amongst it all it's important to remind yourself that

and that the best way to enjoy it is to surround yourself with amazing people!

During the year we had many visits to Chatsworth
Said 14 year old joined in the colour assault challenge
and my washing machine got used quite a lot afterwards too
He also did Santa Sleepover which was awesome
and threw himself into team building and fundraising for Lesotho
Speaking of which he continues to get more sarcastic (it's genetic)
and taller (he overtook both me and his Dad this year).
He has grown a great sense of humour and a really deep voice - although that wasn't grown it just arrived after many weeks of it being all over the place (going from deep to squeak and back again).
I finally managed the 5 Weirs Walk (something that has been on my to do list for quite some time)
And we got to enjoy the Bluebells in the local ancient woods (crikey how much has he grown, bear in mind this was may time, he is now taller than me)

We finally abandoned some art and I sent some onward to Sarah to help with the Swindon Free Art Friday
We took up geo-caching again (albeit intermittent)
I had fun crafting days with my Mum, sister and niece
And thoroughly enjoyed being part of Jen's DT for Wear Crafts and finally got to meet the lady in person and got to know Lesley another member of the team even better

We created puking pumpkins at Halloween even if said 14 year old stated he was too old to dress up (even though he has never been overly keen on dressing up anyway!)

And we visited Hardwick Hall AKA Malfoy Manor

Got to celebrate my sister's graduation in the summer

We also got to see Souter Lighthouse - the highlight of my year

Together with discovering Flamborough Head with hubby - neither of us had been before this year!

We visited Harewood on triathlon day - whoops so had to park the car miles away - on the plus side got free sausages with our chip dinner!
We wandered around the maize at night in September
We had fab holidays in Much Wenlock, meeting up with old friends
We painted pots for our anniversary
Me and said 14 year old got to grips with my new needle felter

I met up with school friends for a meal
We saw Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet at Chatsworth
We 'found' Temple Newsham - which I never even knew existed until this year
And found two transformers at the local cinema

We had a fab week in York as well
Escaped for a few days with hubby at Aldbrough when said 14 year old was on PGL
We found a Japanese Garden for my sister's birthday treat

I finally got to meet Sarah from the WW girls
I did an Autumn bucket list most of which I achieved
I made a Christmas junque journal which I sent off to France and received back with lots of new additions thank you to the lovely ladies who joined in and Rebecca for being a great host on that swap!
We made an Alice tree (and table)
Visited Alice in Wonderland at Chatsworth twice
Enjoyed a fab Christmas day
Watched said 14 year old make snow angels on Boxing Day night
And managed 365 layouts in 2014

And now I look forward to 2015 - a brand new unspoilt page to stamp life all over!  Have you any plans, or tasks you want to complete?  Do you make resolutions or are your trying rememberlutions this year?  Have you got a life long project you are wanting to fulfill?  Or just planning on meandering your way through?  Let's hope that 2015 is a positive year for you and yours and for mine and ours - all I can say now is - Let the fun commence...
