Good morning, well I've been up since 6am having gone to bed at 1am - so feeling exhausted but unable to sleep - not a great combination if I'm honest.  I got up this morning to find out that I'd won some blog candy from Jen at Scrappyjen - really made my morning if I'm honest.  Then I've moved paper around my desk not very successfully before heading into the kitchen to sort breakfast, hubby now making pancakes (he loves cooking bless him).  Off to town in a bit, but thought I'd put a scrappy post together as over recent weeks it's just been a one hit Rocking Your World post from me.

First up a layout of said 12 year old from a break last year, he'd never seen a tea-cosy - hence the title, made yet again using the fabulous free downloads from Mary-Anne click here to find the article these large quote blocks are so versatile to use!

The circles on the page were a single sheet in the paper stack I had that were circles, I cut them out on my Big Shot, then eyelet and ribbon (recycling ribbon from some Christmas Crackers) and put them on the page, I was really pleased with the layout once it was complete.
Next up a phone photo (not great quality) but fun nonetheless, hiding in the cycle store whilst waiting for a taxi, it makes me giggle still.  Using my favourite paper pack.
And finally another layout this time a picture captured by my sister of yours truly.  I fought with this layout for a while before blitzing it with an assortment of flowers and then it seemed to come together.  Sometime layouts are hard work, which this one was, but I won't give in until I've beaten it into submission!
Right off for breakfast - hope you have a fantastic Saturday!

  1. Great layouts Virginia. The first one nearly made me spit my morning cuppa out! You don't see many tea cosies these days.

I'm a bit scrapblocked at the moment so need to get some photos and papers out and shuffle them round a bit

    Have a great weekend x

  2. I love that photo of you!

When you said cycle store I thought you meant a shop. Then I clicked the picture and laughed!

Great pages Virginia, love all those circles on the boy page. In fact I love that you use non-traditional colours with a lot of his pages and they don't look any less 'boy' for it :)

Hope you get some sleep later and I saw what you said over at Suzy's. YES! COME PLAY!

  3. Great LO's.. loved the tea-cosy story! I also love the one of your sister.. and those empty wine bottles! lol

  4. Fab pages - love the teapot story

  5. I Hope you are sleeping better now, I love e pages from the classic quote in the 1st to the photo in the bike shop which makes me laugh too and all the flowers int the 3rd - beautiful :)

  6. In these days of teabags in mugs you just don't see teapots and cosies very often! I rather like the idea of a teapot wearing a woolly jumper!

It looks mighty cosy in that cycle store, haha!

    Great LO's as always, Virginia.

I do hope you've managed to catch some 'zzzzzzz's' now.

  7. Your scrapbooking spreads make me want to give it a go. Something else to add to the to-do list.

I love the way you captured what he said, and I really love those photos that make you laugh just seeing them. They are often not the "best" photos we have but, they are often my very favourites.
